June 2020. The world is at a standstill. Hotels are shut down, flights grounded, the hospitality industry in freefall. Two Moroccans — one a former professional soccer player in the US, the other a digital nomad in Asia — see an opportunity where others see a crisis.

Both had traveled extensively — across Southeast Asia, the United States, Europe. They'd seen what hospitality could look like at its best. And coming back to Morocco — a country they're proud of, one they'd always tell friends "you'll love it" — they saw a gap. The hospitality product didn't reflect the country's potential.

StayHere started with 3 suites in Rabat. Demand exploded. Within a year, 3 became 30.

But the ambition quickly outgrew those early beginnings. A conviction formed: Morocco needed a new generation of hospitality — design-forward, tech-enabled, with impeccable service and a strong brand identity.
